Where’s My Backpack has offered another irresistible photo challenge. This week’s theme is Parks. As an outdoorsy type who lives in Colorado, I have a soft spot in the center of my heart reserved for parks, most specifically for national parks.

Beautiful photos, and perfect for the theme!
Thank you!!! 🙂 I love the photo challenges!!!
Me too!
All beautiful captures – I love snow on mountaintops!
Me TOO!! Especially in the summer – such a beautiful sight. Thanks for taking the time to comment!
As a northerner, I rather resent winter reminders in the summer! lol
As a prairie girl, though, I can appreciate the beauty of the mountains. These pictures really are lovely. Your ‘poetry’ using the letters from National Parks was great, too. 🙂
Thank you thank you thank you!! Such a fun challenge. Thanks again!
Absolutely stunning! You are very fortunate to live surrounded by such beauty!
Thank you!!! Actually, only the last one is in Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. The others are in Argentina. But I am also fortunate to get to visit these stunning places! 🙂 Thanks for your comment!
The first one is absolutely gorgeous!
Thank you!!! Perito Moreno in Argentina. It is spectacular and super photogenic!!!
Wow I googled Perito Moreno (because I didn’t know where it was) and found some gorgeous glaciers! Thanks 🙂
Isn’t it amazing!!???? I have some spectacular photos, but nothing is as incredible as seeing it live!!! Thanks for reading and for your comment!
I’ll stick to photos – too cold for me. 😉
🙂 And that is summer!!
🙂 But it’s so worth it. Actually, it was pretty hot that day. Thanks for checking it out!
Love it, JC, and spectacular photos. Were they all taken in Patagonia? xxx
Ahh, just caught your earlier comments about location. The Rockies are lovely, but boy, Argentina really knows how to do mountains!!! Really beautiful.
De acuerdo!! (Agreed.) 🙂 Thanks for your creativity!!
And thank you for joining in! xxx Ailsa
Of course!!! It is so fun and let’s me use the other side of my brain for at least a day. Thanks for the creative idea!
THANK YOU! First three in Patagonia, last one in Rocky Mountain National Park. The first one is Perito Moreno, which is the only glaciar in the world that hits land, so it crashes spectacularly every 5-10 years. It is a sight to see, albeit crowded. The second is Chalten, which is one of the most spectacular places I have ever seen – amazing for hiking. The third was a bike trip we took further north in Patagonia and the last one is about 45 minutes from our house in Rocky Mountain National Park. Thanks for checking them out!
Wow, sounds like you have an incredible time in Patagonia. I am taking notes! Sooo coool 🙂
Yes, we love it! We go just about every year. It’s spectacular!
I can see I’m going to have to snuffle through your archives for past posts. When are you going next?
I just started posting in April, so not many other Argentina pictures yet. But we head to Europe (Madrid to Frankfurt) backpacking in Sept and I may turn NOTT into a travel blog for a bit. 🙂 Thanks for the encouragement!
Sweet – I shall be following along 🙂
🙂
I love national parks. Thanks for sharing these photos, particularly the ones from Argentina — they’re beautiful. I’ve never been to Argentina, and these photos are giving me a reason to visit! 🙂
Thank you!! You should visit Argentina!!! You would love it!!!!!
Great photos…very nice.
Thanks so much!!!
Gorgeous!!! i have got to get out to Colorado. If I didn’t live in such a beautiful place myself, I would be envious. Love these photos.
THANK YOU!! Actually only the last picture is in Colorado. The rest are in Argentina, so you have to go there too! 🙂 Thanks for the comment!
