WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge: Silhouettes and Weekly Travel Theme: Couples

WordPress has issued a weekly photo challenge of silhouettes and Ailsa, over at Where’s My Backpack, has issued a couple’s travel theme this week. The funny part is that Ailsa completely inspired me to take more photos of silhouettes when she posted that as a travel challenge – I am now addicted.

So, here are my entries for the two challenges, from a recent 40th birthday reunion trip with my best friends from high school:

I would love to hear your thoughts. Thank you for reading!

  7. Barneysday

The wine bottle and sun reflected in the wine glass is my favorite. Thanks for sharing these, they are wonderful

  8. I’m not a photographer, but your images are gorgeous. 🙂

  9. This is a really beautiful series-very romantic!

  10. Gorgeous, Jen, simply gorgeous! Silhouettes and reflections are my favorites to photograph, too! xoM

    • Thanks, Margarita!!! So fun!! I am just starting to take more reflections and am loving that too. I feel so fancy!! 😉 Thanks for your comment!!

      • Lisette, if you go to , you’ll see an Illustrator plug-in for Mac. Download and install that. This will add a new menu item in Illustrator under the File menu so you can cut drcietly from Illustrator. You’ll be able to scale and position your shape where you want it to be cut, then send the file to the Silhouette. It only works with Illustrator versions up to CS3, though. I ignored the directions and tried it with CS5 just to see, and it didn’t work. Also it seems like you can’t enter any settings for the media you’ll be cutting, so no control over that part. You’ll just have to change the caps on the blade to control the depth of the cut.

Thanks for the pingback over at CTB. I have been a poor guest lately and not getting out to visit as much as I would like. Work has kind of taken over my week and most weekends. I am hoping now things slow down and I can get back to doing things I enjoy.

  34. It’s truly very complicated in this active life to
listen news on TV, therefore I simply use world wide web
for that purpose, and get the latest information.
