Ailsa over at Where’s My Backpack’s Travel Theme this week is circles. I recently realized I have a strong affinity for circles and rounded edges. There is something soothing about circles – something about going with the flow and not having to make sharp turns. I don’t know how exactly to describe it – I just know that I am more of a circle kind of gal than a square. 😉
So, without further ado, here are some recent favorite shots of circles:

What do you think? What are your favorite circles? Are you drawn more to circles or squares? Why do you think that is?
I would love to hear your thoughts. Thank you for reading!
These are all wonderful, Jen. I must admit I have a soft spot for the VW Bug, and I love the circles within the globe that is a budding pine cone? Is that right? And the stained glass is magnificent! Now I think I’ll go make a cabbage and apple slaw…xoxoM
My first car was a VW bug — older than the one in your picture!
My first, and only, car was a VW squareback…still had nice, round headlights…but I wax nostalgic now lol!
Yay VWs!!!! So many people had one!!! So fun!!!!
Who doesn’t love a vw bug???? We had a gold one when I was little…. Love that puttering sound. Thanks for the comment, Hugh!
Thanks Margarita!! I have a soft spot for bugs too. So identifiable from such a limited view. 🙂 and yes, I believe that is a budding pinecone. I had never seen one in that form before and couldn’t help snapping a shot. Thanks so much for checking them out!
I like circles too. They have everlasting continuity. My favourite circles are the sun, the moon, apple pie a la mode, the colourful circle in eyes…
LOVE your circle list!!! Especially pie a la mode! 🙂 Thanks for sharing a few of your favorite things!!!!!!
Jen, great shots as always …. my pick of a lovely bunch is the car. I’m very much a circle girl .. I thing is has to do with the softness in me and I always look at things in a big circle – not thinking outside the box .. thinking inside the circle. *smile
🙂 thank you!!! Me too! Thanks for checking them out!
Definitely a circle girl here too. I think it’s because they are softer somehow. That stain glass window is amazing! Paris?
I completely agree. It’s hard to describe, but there is something relaxing about circles for me. And YES – Paris!!!!!!! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by and checking it out!
The brilliant colors of the cathedral stained glass are gorgeous! I prefer soft curves to sharp edges, myself. 🙂
Me too. Which must be why I am eating a cookie right now….. 😉 Thank you for the comment!
Punch buggy, no punches back. My daughter has me trained. My wife had a yellow beatle appropriately named Ziggy. There is such a thing as a bad circle, such as the area on my scalp that gets extra burned these days. And, to leave with one final pun, “may the circle be unbroken…” Smiles, BTG
That is a circle that indicates wisdom… There are no bad circles if you ask me. Or at least very few! Thanks for checking them out!
Plenty of sunscreen or a hat remedies my one bad circle. By the way, you inspired me to quote Alanis Morissette in a post this am.
Atlanis will definitely show up here soon. I almost use one of her songs every week. Such a brilliant songwriter!
Using her work would be great. I look forward to it.
It will come…so many great artists to choose from. I love it!! 🙂 Thanks for all the encouragement!
Buuubbbles!
Yay bubbles!!!! One of my very favorite parts of my weddings! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
Circles, especially after those great examples. I have noticed a lot of pathways in my album. So maybe I like to go outside the lines 😉
Outside the lines is always the best way to go for me!! Thanks so much for the comment! Hope you’re doing great!
that stained glass is stunning! ^^
Thank you!!!! And thanks so much for checking them out and taking time to leave a comment!
