I had trouble finding lyrics about Baltimore that do not mention prostitutes, so I thought I would share this sweet video instead of lyrics this week. In case you didn’t hear, Baltmore won the Super Bowl!! Caw caw!!
What do you think? Do you have a favorite song about your hometown? What about a song about your favorite place?
I would love to hear your thoughts. Thank you for reading!
Lovely video, Jen! Having grown up in Cleveland watching the Browns play, I’m not a great fan of the Ravens. Nonetheless, they played a great game, kudos to them on a job well done! 😉 xoxoM
I hear you. Anyone my age remembers how that feels when the Colts left in the middle of the night. So thank you for sending a great team our way. 🙂 Hope you’re doing great, Margarita!
Baltimore … god, there I had some fantastic times … Congratulations to the win. Of course I have a song .. for my favorite city – http://youtu.be/NoKn7vkSMBc
Ah, Chicago. Love that town!! Thanks so much for the comment and it is nice to find someone who actually stopped in Baltimore to enjoy it instead of driving straight to DC!!
I have never been to DC – have never been on my bucket list.
But it was work that took me to Balitmore – I worked aboard a big container vessel. Chicago, brilliant city. Haven’t met anyone that doesn’t say the same.
Congrats! I was cheering for the Ravens based on Big Mike from the Blindside…I don’t follow sports, but i knew this fact. Woot Woot! my hometown song…Philadelphia Freedom of course!
Yay! Ravens!! Yay big Mike! And yay Philly! Almost all of my college friends were from Philly, so there must be something in the water that creates kindred spirits for me. 🙂 Thanks for the comment!!
I grew up in Baltimore when the Colts were “World” Champions. I was there for “the Game” against the New York Giants. It’s hard to accept the Ravens as Baltimore’s team, but I did cheer for them because Matt Burk plays center. He is about to retire, I gather, and nobody said “boo” about that. It was all about that other guy! But for your sake, I’ll continue to wish the team well.
🙂 You are so right about Matt Burk!!! And it has taken me some time to get used to the Ravens a the B-more team too, since they came after I had already moved away. But it is always fun to cheer on your home team, Hon!! Thanks for the comment, Hugh.
I am glad to see Baltimore withstood the mad rush. If they had not, we would be talking about how the light outage took the wind from beneath their wings (Ravens, I just had to). I still miss the Colts being there, but I am real old school. BTG
I hear you, BTG. It has taken me some time to warm to the Ravens myself. But I am ALL purple now! 😉 Thanks for the comment!
Er…uh…are there a lot of prostitutes in Baltimore. I mean…more than any other city? Good job on the video. And congrats to the Ravens.
